We Buy, Sell, Trade Palms & Tropical Plants
|
The are several reasons that we do not carry Queen Palms at Oasis Palm & Cycads.
Not a great Value: While queen palms are relatively cheap to purchase initially you will
end up spending more to maintain queen palms then you did to actually purchase and
install the tree. This is especially true for very tall queens as landscapers generally
charge more anytime a ladder or special reach equipment is involved.
Too Labor Intensive: Since Queen Palms do not shed their dead leaves, these eye
sores droop down and the dried discoloration of these giant dead leaves can
negatively impact your entire landscape and home. If you do not want to pay a
professional landscaper to constantly cut them you will either have to live with the
mess or constantly ask yourself why you didn't get a King Palm or Foxtail Palm which
are self cleaning.
Too Common: It sounds a bit cliché, but queen palms are everywhere and we
specialize in tropical plants you wont see at every strip mall or track home. We offer
palms and other plants that offer low maintenance, high quality and uniqueness to your
tropical landscape.
Don't get us wrong, we know many people love queen palms as they are relatively
inexpensive to purchase, hardy and relatively fast growing, but certainly they won't set
your landscape apart in southern California.
