Jeremy Jones
DJ Status: Veteran/Owner
As the owner and founder of Party People I can honestly say this is a labor of love. My greatest joy in all of this comes at the end of a successful event. When the music stops and a bride and groom give you a sincere thank you and you know you were an important part of a day they will remember forever. When it all goes smoothly it doesn’t even feel like work. I have done countless events and weddings over the years, but my specialty is getting the dance floor packed and keeping it that way. I like to mix it up and get everyone dancing so I play a variety of music so everyone will hear something they enjoy. If you are looking someone engaging, fun and energetic than I feel I am the man for the job.
Background:
Born and raised in San Diego I made my home in the South Bay until college where I attended the University of California Berkeley. Since graduating with a degree in Sociology in 2000, I have made my career in the non-profit field managing programs that help youth and families. I am a bleeding heart by nature and really enjoy helping people and making someone’s day.
Andy Cabrera
DJ Status: Veteran
Andy is the most veteran DJ of the Party People Team with over 10 years of DJ experience. In addition, Andy has an extensive event planning and coordination background. Andy is very knowledgeable about music and has a true talent for identifying client needs and then exceeding those needs. Andy is fun, energetic and his experience makes him very qualified to handle any event.
Background:
Born and raised in San Diego, Andy is a long time personal friend and father of two beautiful daughters. Aside from being a great DJ Andy is also a fulltime student and he is musically inclined specializing in the piano. As long as I have know him Andy was good at getting the party going and that is true to this day.
Malik Jones
DJ Status: Trainee
Don’t let his age fool you. Malik is a very talented DJ and accomplished dancer. While Malik is not the most experienced DJ on the Party People team he is quickly building a name for himself through successful events and satisfied customers.
Malik is a true talent that makes up for what he lacks in experience with natural ability, hard work and attention to detail. Malik has a rare knowledge of all kinds of music for a person his age and he is very customer service oriented. If you want DJ interaction Malik is capable of show stopping dance skills that will get anyone to their feet. Malik is definitely an up and coming talent on the Party People team.
Background:
Born in raised in San Diego, Malik has a true passion for music and dancing. Malik is a fulltime student at San Diego State and moonlights as a Youth Leader for the YMCA so he is perfect for kid’s events as he is background checked and CPR certified. Malik’s true gift lies as a very accomplished B-Boy or Break Dancer and he is very active in community development and volunteerism. Malik is a great young man and we are happy to have him on the Party People team.
